The Abstracts receipt deadline was over. Those sending their abstracts by email will not be entertained at all. Many thanks for the considerable interest in ICOLSI-44. We received a huge number of Abstracts. We will keep you informed individually about the decision of your submission in a phase manner from 30 July till the last week of August. We prioritized reviewing the foreign scholars' abstracts and intimating the decision as well. This will enable their travel plan ahead of visiting India. The Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha, India, will host the 44th International Conference of the Linguistic Society of India (ICoLSI-44) from November 24 to 26, 2022, at its Bhubaneswar campus located in Jatni (Khurda Road) jointly with the Linguistic Society of India, Pune, and supported by Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysuru. This will be the first time that the ICoLSI will take place in the state of Odisha. Abstracts are invited for oral and poster presentations on original and unpublished research on any area of relevance to linguistics. There would also be two special sessions on Mother Tongues of Odisha, and Classical Odia language, Literature, Translation, History, Palaeontology, Culture & Heritage. Please note that only one single-authored and/or co-authored paper(s) per participant will be permitted to encourage larger participation and a fair opportunity for all.

Abstract Guidelines

➡️ Submissions that fail to comply with any of the following guidelines will be automatically stand rejected.

➡️ Anonymize submissions by not including author name(s) in the Abstract or Filename.

➡️ Restrict submissions to one individual and one joint abstract per author, or two joint abstracts per author.

➡️ Submit abstracts in .pdf format with the filename “Paper_Title.pdf”.

➡️ Include the paper title and keywords (i.e., Track/Theme under session or title if applicable, linguistic subfield(s), language(s)/language family) within the Abstract.

➡️ Limit Abstract to one and half pages in length, including data and references (just select references are acceptable). Use one-inch margins and a font size no smaller than 11 points. Incorporate data into the main text of the Abstract, not on a separate page or Appendix page.

Special Sessions on Odia:

If you are submitting a paper to the Odia special session, please indicate so. Abstracts for these sessions can be written in Odia or English. For Abstracts in Odia, please use open-source Unicode or ‘Kalinga’ font while submitting your Abstracts/Papers. An English translation may also be provided for the same.
