About the hosting University

The Centurion University is duly recognized as a pioneer in ‘Skill Integrated Higher Education”. Its unique model lays specific emphasis on creating sustainable livelihoods on a national scale in challenging geographies through education that results in employability and sparks entrepreneurship. This model has been recognized by multiple Governments (Central and State), International Organizations such as UNESCO and the World Bank as well as Policy Think-tanks such as the Niti Ayog. Recently, Centurion University’s School of Vocational Education and Training has been recognized as a Centre of Excellence by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. It is the only University in India to be recognized as such.


Since its inception in 2005 and subsequent recognition as a university in 2010 through the Odisha Legislative Assembly act, Centurion has created a unique environment that ensures a tailored learning and employability path for youth in some of the poorest and underserved geographies in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. The university's main campus is at Paralakhemundi, Gajapati District of Odisha. The university has been accredited to NAAC with A-grade. The university offers undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctoral courses in various disciplines. At present, the university has different campuses (located at Paralakhemundi, Bhubaneswar, Rayagada, Balangir, Chatrapur, and Balasore) and several social entrepreneurial outreach that, along with collaborating institutions and networks, form its ecosystem. About LSI

The Linguistic Society of India was founded in 1928 at the fifth Oriental Conference in Lahore, Pakistan, and its journal publication began in 1931. This society is a body of academics working to promote Linguistics and Indian languages. The society organises an annual conference attracting a wide range of participation from India and abroad to inculcate certain healthy practices and set productivity and scholarly quality standards. These events bring together generations of linguists. The society has organised 43 editions, and this one is the 44th edition of ICOLSI. The Department of English, Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) would jointly organise the 44th edition, in Bhubaneswar campus (Jatni) and Linguistic Society of India with the support of Central Institute of Indian Languages (Government of India), Mysuru, beside a few other public and private agencies.
