부유식 해양 풍력 시스템 개발

Climate Change Research Hub (CRH)

1. Promotion Background

Globally, energy demand is growing at an annual rate of 2.5% , and greenhouse gas emissions are also record high every year . If the development of the offshore wind turbine systems , as well as energy supply problems caused by the exhaustion of fossil fuels can be solve environmental pollution problems caused by greenhouse gas emissions In addition , offshore wind power is gaining energy from a resource Co., as a means for sustainable energy It is an environment-friendly and sustainable energy because it utilizes wind power that exists in nature and infinite . The figure shows three different types of wind turbines. Two types are fixed either to the land or the ocean bottom whereas the third one is the floating type wind turbine.

2. Industrialization and economic industrial importance

The government plans to develop a large-scale offshore wind farm by investing 12 trillion won in the coastal areas of Yongkwang in Jeonnam and Buon in Jeonbuk . Also in Europe , the United States , the United States , and the offshore markets such as Japan's explosive growth , this trend, if 2015 , the year in 200 that is expected to create more than one trillion market .If we develop a competitive vertical vertical offshore wind power generation system through this project, it will be an opportunity to preoccupy the market as a high level technical power besides enormous economic value creation .

3. R & D Direction and Goals

It is noteworthy that the development of large- scale offshore wind farms is a major challenge for the US economy.

- Choosing the final concept of KAIST through economic analysis and expert consultation of floating offshore wind power system

- Visualization of wind turbine based on physics engine and development of remote collaboration review system

- Application of reliability design for improved wind power system

- Development of Vertical Flotation Wind Turbine System

- Analysis of ductile motion using dynamic simulation tool of offshore structure

- Preparation of water tank for float type wind system and preparation for sea scale model test

4. Experiment

The experiments for the evaluation of the design were performed. The experimental setup can be explained with the help of the video.
