Removed Group A (Samples 1-30) from incubator

Calibrated turbidimeter with distilled water, shows 0.212 NTU error so subtracted 0.212 NTU from raw data

Transferred sample from sample vial to turbidimeter cuvette, recorded 3 turbidity measurements and took the average, transferred sample back to sample vial

• • Repeat for Samples 1-30

Recorded observations

• • Most samples retained color from Luria broth and had many small particles distributed throughout Luria broth

  • Samples 6, 8, 13, 14, 26 and 27 were transparent and had few particles except for a film on surface of Luria broth

  • Samples 2, 4, 5, 16, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 28 and 29 were transparent and had few particles except for large particles settled on bottom of Luria broth

  • Samples 5, 7, 9, 11, 15 had many particles of all sizes throughout Luria broth
