2004 Ding Xing Hao Sheng:

Description:

This cake is relatively bold, and a bitter bite will be found if brewed too hard. But along with this intensity, there is a strong aftertaste that lingers when drank, which reminded me of some gentler coffee's ive had. With this nature, this is a cake that would be very fun and interesting to drink and follow its journey as it ages and mellows out.

On Sheng Puer:

Sheng Puerh shines as it ages, but its still fun to drink in the mean time. While the world of sheng puerh is kind of complicated and daunting, I hope to offer puerh that I feel is very clean, and will age well into the future.

On Selling Sheng Puer:

Don't be shy to go ahead and buy entire cakes, but its understandable to be weary of buying an entire cake. For those who don't want to commit to buying whole cakes (financial reasons, or storage reasons) I am willing to sell in any quantity really, be it chunks of 20 grams a piece or just 100gram bags.

80's Big leaf, old tree loose: "Wanzi San"

Description:

When you see a color this dark, the first thing that comes to a low of peoples mind is Shu Puer. Shu uses a cheat code in production called wet pile fermentation or Wo Dui. This tea here is a tea I like to use to introduce people to the world of properly aged sheng puer. You will notice this tea tastes very clean for the age, and if you compare it with a shu, you will find that the liquer it produces is clearer as well.

On Loose Puer:

Some people are very fond of buying cakes of puer, I mean, its fun. You get to crack them open and they look cool. While this is completely fine, in general puer that is stored loose ages better, its just more even. This tea was never really caked and has been aging completely in this loose state!

Description:

Another example of well aged Sheng. It doesn't have the kick that old oolong has, but the aftertaste in the mouth still lingers for a while, so when drinking, be sure to walk away for a little bit to really savor this feeling, if you drink it too fast then you will miss out on this aftertaste. Aftertaste needs time.

Description:

Pretty mellow, no bite at all. This brick aged pretty smoothly. Like everything above it, pulling apart these bricks is so easy. It's always the worst when you find puerh that is almost impossible to pull apart.
