Salvia macrophylla
We were most pleased with the performance of this Salvia in 2013, and so were the hummers!! We had this plant both in our backyard (which is on the north side of our house) and in the front yard, and it bloomed nicely in each location. The flowers tended to open in the morning and also stayed open for much of the day when the temperatures were cool. The hummingbirds used the flowers extensively.
