2.7 Population Policies

China has made many policies to limit population growth in the past, most notable of them being the "One-Child Policy". This policy made it so each family in the country of China could only have one child. This was done to prevent overpopulation in the country which could've led to resource scarceness. This policy worked too well tho and has had many lasting effects on the country. The most notable of these effects was the fact that overtime the population has actually decreased because there have been less people being born then people dying. This has also led to an older population being the majority of the country.
