United by a love of musical theatre, we come together to produce and perform in high-quality concerts and big musical productions all year around.
We want to support the health and wellbeing, performance skills, creative expression and confidence-building of our members, so we take care to try and help everyone feel welcomed, respected, and valued - both in the audience and on the stage.
We also find find plenty of opportunities to socialise together - whether that's going to the pub after rehearsals, film screenings, going to see professional shows at our local theatres or watching our members perform in other local productions!
HMTC is a proud member of NODA – the National Operatic and Dramatic Association.
As part of this respected organisation, our community benefits from a wealth of resources, training, and guidance that help us to deliver high-quality musical theatre. What's more, performers associated with NODA through an affiliated company (such as ours) are eligible to attend summer schools, competitions and more!
NODA also offers recognition for excellence in amateur theatre, giving our members the opportunity to shine on a wider stage. Most importantly, it connects us to a nationwide network of passionate performers, directors, and creatives who share our love of the arts.
HMTC is proud to be part of a vibrant network of local amateur musical theatre companies, working together to strengthen and celebrate the performing arts in our area. By sharing ideas, supporting each other’s productions, and carefully planning our performance calendars, we aim to avoid clashes and ensure every show gets the spotlight it deserves. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community – one showstopper at a time.
