I have a few photographs of Hua Hin from the year 1957—known in Thailand as the year 2500 in the Buddhist calendar. It was a milestone year, a national jubilee, which is why these images were taken. Back then, Hua Hin was still a quiet fishing village, far from the bustling seaside town it is today.
