Access Management

• Access will only be activated on analysers located in the department where the staff member is currently working (see above).

• Use this  FORM👆 to notify the POCT Team of any changes to blood gas analyser access, including: 

🛑 Deactivation of another staff member’s account

🔒 Deactivation of your own account

🔄 Reassignment of access to a new department

✏️ Request for access code change

Training & Competency

You will receive your own password to access the blood gas analyser only after completing the hands-on training and passing the competency test. 

• Step 1: Book Hands-on Training Slot   BookASlot👆

🔔 Restricted to your personal MOH email. If not available,   ApplyNow👆 

• Step 2: Review internal e-learning module (beyond vendor training)

✅ A link will be sent to your email once booking is submitted.

✅ Alternatively, you may access the module directly here.

• Step 3: Attend Session & Complete Assessments

✅ Attend the vendor-led hands-on training

✅ Complete the competency assessment 

(covering both the e-learning module & vendor session) : Link given after hands-on session.

🔔 Use the same email as your training booking when completing assessments.

• Step 4: Certification & Password Issuance : Approved User Lists

✅ POCT team will issue a certificate (see Approved User Lists above) and assign an individual user password (via email) within 5 working days of completing the practical session.

📌 If this TAT is exceeded or urgent access is required,  ContactUs👆 

🔑 Password validity: 2 years.

♻ Steps must be repeated upon expiry or earlier if:

• Major changes are made to analyser software or hardware

• Any critical error is identified (including reactivation of a suspended password)

⚠️ Important Notes: Password sharing is strictly prohibited. Any password found to be shared will be immediately suspended.

Individuals who have not completed training and do not hold a valid competency are not authorized to use this device.

Proficiency Testing (PT) / External Quality Assurance (EQA)

PT/EQA is a method used to demonstrate competency and validate a laboratory’s measurement process by comparing your results to the results of a reference laboratory and other participant laboratories.
