Extract the installation file
Run NetGateway_v1.10.20220317_x64.exe

Installation

C:\Program Files\Kyocera\NetGateway

Synchronize discovery

An uninstall, restart and re-installation is required to change this setting

Manually configure discovery settings

IP address and computer name of NetGateway server is not sent to KFS
IP addresses and hostnames of devices are not sent to KFS
No remote management of the gateway discovery settings

KFS connection port

Default: 8081

Used for single-point operation (i.e.: a proxy server)
Not enabled by default

Gateway operations port

Default: 9696
Internal communications of the microservices within the Gateway

Gateway web port

Default: 9797

User for the web interface to the Gateway

2. Set up your Gateway registration method

Automatic registration

An email sent with the Configuration key
Created under Gateway in KFS
- More > Send Gateway installer

Manual registration

Gateway does not have to be "pre-created"
Register to the group using the group's access code
URL is https://rfs-eu.kyocera.biz
Untick KFS Manager authentication

3. Select KFS device connection method

Even though registered with the gateway, Kyocera devices will still send toner levels/counters straight to KFS
DNS server address(es) must still be set in the Kyocera devices

Manage

Can send tasks (e.g. firmware) to Kyocera devices

Monitor

Can not send tasks (e.g. firmware) to Kyocera devices

Treats Kyocera devices just like 3rd party

Uses SNMP and WSD to read the toner levels and counter (meters)

Select Enable automatic software upgrade
Select Specified time
- Set to early morning

Set the KYOCERA NetGateway service startup type to Automatic (Delayed Start)
Set the KYOCERA NetGateway Auto-Recovery Service startup type to Automatic (Delayed Start)
