MLA 8th edition

These three websites offer help on MLA 8. Check them all out to find the one that works best for you!

In the HCC Writing Center, we refer to Saginaw Valley State University Writing Center's MLA Web-based Resource as "the rainbow website." This comprehensive, easy-to-use resource provides a great (and visual) guide to MLA 8.

The Purdue OWL (Online Writing Lab) covers all aspects of MLA 8, including paper format and in-text citations. They also have links to helpful videos.

The MLA Style Center has a number of excellent free resources, such as "Works Cited: A Quick Guide" (includes a practice template download) and "Ask the MLA" (you can even submit a question yourself).
