Idiom Dictionary (Click photo below to access the site)

ESL students sometimes struggle with idioms, which are a common part of a native speaker's language. This dictionary can help!

Idioms are common phrases used in the English language that don't always make sense literally but are often used to express a complicated idea in a short way.

For example, "cutting corners" does not literally mean to cut corners, but rather, it means doing something poorly in order to save time or money.

Some other examples include: "under the weather," "a dime a dozen," "break a leg," or "beat around the bush."
