Question: What inspired you to enter into Botany?

Answer: To know the values of flora and the important role if plays to sustain the ecosystem, The flora has been providing free oxygen without any give and take policy.

Question: Since how long, you been into this scientific field and in which cities you have been associated for teaching, research, commercial and training programs?

Answer: I am working in this field of teaching since 1985 and contributing in Research and training programs from 2001 for teaching and relevant activities I am associated with Nagpur, Pune, Amravati, Wardha, Ghatanji, Yavatmal and Dhamangaon Railway.

Question: What are your future plans for teaching, research and training programs in Botany?

Answer: My primary concern is to incorporate research in social life, also to make teaching, research and training programs relevant and important for human beings. In addition to this my plans are to protect endangered plant species and medicinal plants.

Question: What kind of businesses can be started in Botany by businessman and entrepreneurs? What minimum infrastructure would it need?

Answer: In the field of Botany businessman and entrepreneurs can start businesses life setting up plant nursery, developing saplings by using tissue culture method. The minimum infrastructure needed is small laboratory with inoculation, incubation chambers facilities.

Question: What are your recommendations to improve the standards of journals publishing research articles on Botany?

Answer: The journals publishing research articles on Botany are expected to publish genuine research work without plagiarism.

Question: What are your recommendations to improve syllabus of Botany for more creativity, applications and opportunities? Which instruments are required for advanced research in botany?

Answer: To improve the syllabus of Botany the course contains related to Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Molecular biology should be included. Biotechnology and Molecular biology provide various opportunities in areas like forensic science, laminar, DNA barcoding, PCR technology.

Question: What is Botany? What are the major branches in Botany?

Answer: Botany is a branch of Biology which deals with the study of all aspect of plant live including their structure, properties and bio chemical processes and also included plant classification and the study of plant diseases and of interaction with environment. Taxonomy, Mycology, Phycology, Ecology. Physiology, Biotechnology are the major branches of Botany.

Question: What are your recommendations to frame guidelines on funding of research projects on Botany?

Answer: DST and UGC are the funding agencies that provides maximum funds for research projects. It will be better to enhanced funds for reference books so that more reference book can be purchased.

Question: How can universities produce revolutionary PhD and Post Doc thesis and dissertations on Botany? What are your recommendations to improve the academic standards?

Answer: The academic standards can be improved by conducting central entrance examination for admission to Ph.D. There should be open defence viva for Ph.D.

Question: What are your views on Faculty Development Programs?

Answer: The Faculty Development programs gives innovative ideas about online and offline mode of teaching-learning activities.

Question: How can students seek job and career opportunities in Botany?

Answer: The students have job opportunities in the field of Botany as a plant Taxonomist, Mycologist and Biotechnologist. They also have opportunities in forensic science.

Question: What job titles are available in Botany?

Answer: The job titles in Botany are Taxonomist, Ecologist and Molecular Biologist.

Question: Which are Typical employers in Botany?

Answer: The employers in the Botany environmental institutes like NERRI and CSRI.

Answer: The courses available are Biotechnology, Cytogenetics, and Plant Taxonomy.

Answer: Today the field of research has become more advanced. To write world class research article in Botany, copy paste method should be avoided and inferences and outcomes of genuine research should only the incorporated in research article. Basic and the applied research method be used.

Question: What are your recommendations to write a world class case report in Botany? What essential components and factors must be there?

Answer: Conservation of plants and forest be included in case report in Botany. Conservation of medicinal plants in-vivo and in-vitro method is the essential component.

Question: What are your recommendations to write a world class review in Botany? What essential components and factors must be there?

Answer: To write a world class review in Botany the aspects of its importance for society, utility for formers and vendors are seen as essential components. More crop in low cost of investment is the important criteria.

Question: What are your recommendations to establish a world class research institute for Botany?

Answer: The well-equipped laboratory having molecular level research facility is measure requirement for establishment of world class research institute.

Question: What are your recommendations to improve employment and scope in Botany?

Answer: To improve employment and scope in Botany it is recommendation that a small laboratories are to be set to identify plant morphology. Frequently organising seminars and webinars through which awareness about various aspects of Botany can be create among the students.

Question: Would you start a campaign to request government to offer free of cost internet to all people of your country as fundamental right, because it plays a significant role in education, awareness, implementation of government policies and economic development of country

Answer: Yes, free internet can be projected as fundamental right of the people.

Question: What are your recommendations to authors, who are writing Books on Botany for more creativity and understanding of the subject?

Answer: The language used in writing the books must be very apt and precise. Elaborate descriptions be given where ever necessary so that the topic can be well understood by the reader.

Question: What according to you are the Top 5 major challenges (research problems) which need to be resolved urgently by world’s scientists in the area of Botany?

Answer: Top five major challenges (research problems) which need to be resolved may be as follows,

1) Basic and Fundamental research is lost.

2) To avoid plagiarism,

3) Utility and usefulness of research to society.

4) To avoid repetition in research problem.

5) Today to avoid cut paste method in research.

Question: What are your recommendations to improve standards of Conferences in Botany? How can they be brainstorming and more creative?

Answer: The resource persons should deal the topic in more innovative and participative in manner. The latest development in the field of particular topic along with proper references be dealt with by the speaker. The concepts of topic can be made effective by using appropriate techniques and tools.

Question: Which major challenges do you see to establish India as world leader in Botany?

Answer: Lots of people are not familiar with different branches of Botany. If you are among them actually know the scope of subject.

Question: Any other thing, you would like to share with World?

Answer: The importance of plants in ecosystem as well as day to day life is to be understood by the people. Plants play a prominent role is ecosystem, environment, atmosphere and food chain. The importance of plants be incorporated in basic, applied and advanced research.
