Question: What inspired you to enter into Crop Science?

Answer:

Vietnam has transformed from being a nation heavily affected by food shortage to one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of many agricultural products, such as coffee, peanuts, and rice, the GDP value of this sector has been growing steadily. In addition, agriculture has been the largest employer across economic sectors in Vietnam, employing around 18 million Vietnamese in 2020. Vietnam is well known for cheap agricultural exports like coffee beans, rice, cotton, friuts, sugarcane and tea. The country comes in second for rice exports, with 19.6 percent farmland and 69 percent irrigated land available for farming. Over the past quarter century, Vietnam’s agricultural sector has made enormous progress. Vietnam’s performance in terms of agricultural yields, output, and exports, however, has been more impressive than its gains in efficiency, farmer welfare, and product quality. Vietnamese agriculture now sits at a turning point. The agricultural sector now faces growing domestic competition - from cities, industry, and services - for labor, land, and water…

Question: How can Agriculture and Forestry, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam universities produce revolutionary PhD and Post Doc thesis and dissertations on plant breeding? What are your recommendations to improve the academic standards?

Answer: University of Agriculture and forestry Hochiminh city, vietnam has produced revolutionary PhD and Post Doc thesis and dissertations on plant breeding done:

Assumes a fundamental value for the evaluation of the candidate's skills: the thesis will clearly show the student's ability to structure his/her work, his/her rigorous scientific vision, and his/her academic commitment. In particular, a PhD student needs to demonstrate his/her ability as a researcher to be confident in the chosen research field, moving towards the discovery of original content capable of opening new ways of knowledge.

I recommentdations to improve the academic: Successful learning improvement programs share two essential characteristics: they are more comprehensive in the range of students' needs met, and they are better institutionalized into the academic mainstream. The four basic types of programs, in ascending order of effectiveness, are: isolated remedial skills courses; learning assistance to individual students; course-related supplementary learning activities; and comprehensive learning systems in academic courses. There are some critical variables for learning improvement related to goals and rationale, instructional methods and content, staff, and program evaluation. Obtaining an interdependence of learning improvement and instructional change is the purpose of the Decision Guide for Effective Programs. The Decision Guide offers greater control over educational processes and outcomes through more effective techniques of management, delivery, and evaluation

Hands-on training: A key component, perhaps the key component, to understanding crops cultivation science is experiencing it in action. Students should correlate their knowledge with practical skills in the field, making this value a cornerstone of their educational experience.

Students are connected with professionals: There’s a strong focus on connecting students with the professional world of crops cultivation. Not only does this mean students get to understand exactly how their work impacts the agriculture world, they also get to make critical connections that will benefit him after graduation. Students work with staff, as well as external stakeholders to collaborate on projects that have a direct impact on their educational experiences. Through these experiences, students create opportunities for learning, as well as professional and personal growth.

Crops cultivation, having a firm understanding of how to best approach a problem for the most effective solution is important, focusing as it does on self-development, adapted to the skills of today and tomorrow, and entrepreneurship and innovation. Question: What are your recommendations to establish a world class research institute for Building a model of growing clean vegetables Aquaponics?

Answer

Aquaponics is making use of what’s available, which makes it a perfect sustainable alternative to conventional farming. The farming method is gaining a foothold in urban areas with inadequate or no land resources to grow food. With populations lacking ground space inch by inch, aquaponics, perhaps, is the correct answer to meet the needs of future generations. The fish excreta acts as a natural fertilizer for plants, which in turn purifies the water for fishes, and the cycle continues. This farming method doesn’t depend on soil or manure used to ramp up the production. This means you don’t have to worry about additional nutrients to supply to plants. As a result, aquaponic farming is more effective than organic farming. Aquaponics Don’t Rely on Artificial Fertilizers. The use of natural and chemical-based fertilizers in the farming industry contributes to nitrogen and phosphorus pollution in the US. Some fertilizers even contain measurable levels of heavy metals such as Lead, Arsenic, and Cadmium. Apart from that, US farmers spend billions of dollars annually on fertilizers alone. The fertilizers used in agricultural produce is not only hazardous for the environment but also costly for farmers. However, in aquaculture, the reduced use of fertilizers safeguards the environment and promotes less use of herbicides and pesticides. The aquaponic plants are naturally fertilized by the fish feces, a rich provider of nutrients for the plants.

The traditional agricultural practices put more pressure on water resources. Therefore, water shortage is believed to be the most significant contributor to limiting food production in the coming years.

On the contrary, aquaponic systems do not typically discharge or exchange water under regular operation. The system recirculates and reuses water very effectively. The countries with fewer water supplies would be the ones to get more advantages of aquaponics system by reducing dependency on water resources. One of the main benefits of Aquaponics is that the system allows effective use of nutrients sources. The feed supplied to fishes in the system acts as organic or bacterial biomass that further supplies nutrients to the plants.

The leftover organic waste is easy to manage and can also be used for traditional horticultural crops. In addition, plants in an aquaponic system grow faster than usual as there is no waste of nutrients compared to conventional farming due to the absence of weeds.

Question: What are your recommendations to improve employment and scope in Built production model of growing potted flowers in the direction of high technology?

Answer: Besides the technological aspect, to be promising and sustainable, the business model of an urban vertical farm should be viable. It designs high-tech indoor gardens in supermarkets produce aisles employing hydroponic systems and a biomimicry design for its growing-trays, which are stacked vertically and housed in a protected environment. The Infarm app monitors all aspects of grow technology, such as pH levels.

Question: Would you start a campaign to request government to offer free of cost internet to all people of your country as fundamental right, because it plays a significant role in education, awareness, implementation of government policies and economic development of country

Answer: yes I would

Question: What are your recommendations to improve standards of Conferences in Crop Science? How can they be brainstorming and more creative?

Answer:

A technique for generating new ideas, doesn’t always work. The truth is that managing many different aspects simultaneously is difficult, and it’s no different when it comes to thinking creatively. For brainstorming to be successful, participants need to feel free to share their ideas without criticism or judgment. Furthermore, everyone in the group needs to be attentive and give each idea its due consideration. Finally, there needs to be enough space for abstract ideas to flourish:

Set the goals of the sessions upfront

Getting into the right state of mind

Be good at moderating – give everyone a voice

Appreciate all ideas and contributions

Encourage “out-of-the-box” thinking during brainstorming

Give everyone enough space and freedom

Write down abstract ideas to help generate new connections

Note down everything and every idea

Choose the right environment

Follow-up and communicate the outcomes of a brainstorming

Question: Which major challenges do you see to establish Vietnam as world leader in Crop Science?

Answer: Trade conflicts, climate change and epidemics, which are seen as hindrances to Việt Nam's agricultural production and export, can also be seen as an opportunity for the sector to speed up the value chain restructuring and innovating the growth model.

Question: Any other thing, you would like to share with World?

Answer:

What I want to share with this world is that I hope I will teach many students and they will be a bridge to use the knowledge to help develop the agricultural industry, grow many useful crops, protect the environment. and natural resources on this earth. Besides, I also want to try to research many new methods and techniques that are most useful for agricultural production to create the best quality agricultural products and ensure the health and safety of consumers. sustainable agricultural production processes towards building and preserving the beautiful earth
