Question: What inspired you to enter into Botany?

Answer: I have my deep interest in the subject of Botany. This interest is inspired me to enter into the Botany.

Question: Since how long, you been into Botany and in which cities you have been associated for administration, teaching, research, commercial and training programs?

Answer: I have been into Botany since last 30 years. I have been associated with Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Ratlam cities of Madhya Pradesh and Jhansi, Allahabad and Dehradun of Uttar Pradesh. I am a life time member of Range Management Society of India, Tropical Forestry Scientists, and International Science Community Association. I am also a member of editorial advisory board of Research Journals.

Question: What are your future plans for administration, teaching, research and training programs in Plant Physiology?

Answer: Future plans should be prepared for teaching, research and training programs in plant physiology. Plant physiology department should be started in the college level. I would like to make future plans to promote research activities in Plant Physiology.

Question: What kind of businesses can be started in Plant Physiology? What minimum infrastructure would it need?

Answer: The business can be started by acquire the practical knowledge of Plant Physiology. By converting plant physiological knowledge into business idea can creates the business products. Plant physiology has wide scope in the field of agriculture. So, business can be started in field of agriculture, medicine, food production and textiles.

The separate building along with required instruments is an urgent need to start the new business. There should be a store room for proper storage of business products. One well furnished training room is required for the training of human resources.

Question: What are your recommendations to Government on Genetically modified crops?

Answer: The recommendations to Government on genetically modified crops are as follows-

1- Government should make rules and regulations on genetically modified crops.

2- Government should ensure the maximum utilization of GMCs for cultivation.

3- Government should ensure the training program for their farmers about GMC.

4- Government should ensure the availability of seeds of GMCs to the farmers.

5- Government should ensure the maximum utilization of GM Technology.

6- Government can ensures double income of farmers by using the GM Technology.

7- Government should provide subsidy to the farmers on genetically modified crops.

8- Government should ensure the agriculture productivity by using GM Technology.

9- Government can reduce the pollution/soil infertility by increasing the use of GMCs.

10- Government can make Healthy India with the help of GM Technology.

Question: What are your recommendations to improve syllabus of Plant Physiology for more creativity, applications and opportunities?

Answer: My recommendations to improve the syllabus of Plant Physiology as given below-

1- All aspects of Plant Physiology must be included in the syllabus.

2- Contents and objectives should be reflected in the syllabus.

3- Traditional knowledge must be included in the syllabus.

4- Syllabus of Plant physiology should be job oriented.

5- Scopes and applications of plant physiology should be incorporated in the syllabus.

6- Practical aspects must be included in the syllabus of Plant Physiology.

Question: What is Plant Physiology? What are the major branches in Plant Physiology?

Answer: Plant Physiology is the branch of Botany which includes the study of life activities of plants and its processes at cellular as well as sub-cellular level.

The major branches of Plant Physiology are given below-

1- Biochemistry

2- Stress Physiology

3- Crop Physiology

4- Eco-Physiology

5- Photo-Physiology

Question: What are your recommendations to frame guidelines on funding of research projects on Plant Physiology?

Answer: My recommendations to frame guidelines on funding of research projects on Plant physiology are as follows-

1- Funding agencies/Govt. should ensure the genuine topic of research project.

2- Govt. should ensure the academic record of Investigator.

3- Research project should be relevant and innovative.

4- The evaluation of project report should be mandatory.

5- Process to release the fund for Research Project should be simplified.

6- Research project should be beneficial to society.

Question: How can universities produce revolutionary PhD and Post Doc thesis and dissertations on Plant Physiology? What are your recommendations to improve the academic standards?

Answer: University can produce revolutionary PhD thesis and Post doctoral thesis in the field of Plant physiology by framing the policy regarding research.

1- University should make the minimum criteria for awarding PhD/Post Doc degree.

2- Rules and regulations regarding research should be timely monitored by the University

3- Research papers publication should be mandatory before awarding PhD..

4- Standard Research facilities should be developed in the University/College level.

5- Research supervisors should ensure the quality of research work.


Question: How pesticide free vegetables and crops can be produced on large scale by farmers?

Answer: The farmers can be produce pesticide free vegetables and crops in large scale by using the techniques of Organic farming. They can be use compost manure, green manure, bone meal and other bio-fertilizers for enhancing the production of crops and vegetables. They can also be used the techniques in the production of crops such as Crop rotation, Companion planting, Intercropping and Maintaining crop diversity. It can be significantly enhanced the production pesticide free vegetables and crops by using the nitrogen fixing organisms.


Question: How can students seek job and career opportunities in Plant Physiology?

Answer: Students can seek job and make their career in the field of Plant physiology like; Plant Physiologist, Research Professor, Horticulturalist, Plant Scientist, Assistant Professor in colleges/universities, Assistant Pathologist, Agronomists. Physiologists can expect jobs in agricultural industries, manufacturing industries, public and private sectors.

Plant physiology has vast scope in the field of agriculture. It also helps in various other field of Botany such as pharmacology, environmental biology, space biology, biochemistry, agronomy, cell biology, and plant ecology.

1- Student can make their career as a teacher/assistant professor of University/ College.

2- Student can make their career as a Research Associate at University level.

3- Students work as Scientist in the field of Plant physiology.

4- Students make their career in public sectors.

Question: What would you suggest to owners of agriculture land to become entrepreneur instead of traditional agriculture?

Answer: It is an urgent need for promoting entrepreneurial culture among the owners of agriculture land. My suggestions to owners of agriculture land to become entrepreneur are given as below-

1- Owners of agriculture land should adapt the new alternatives instead of traditional agriculture.

2- They should become more market oriented.

3- They should be created new market for their product.


Question: What are your recommendations to write a world class research article in Plant Physiology? What essential components and factors must be there?

Answer: My suggestions to write a world class article in Plant physiology are as given below-

1- Research article should be in standard format.

2- Research article must be based on original research work.

3- Research article should be reviewed by minimum two reviewers before publication.

4- Research article should be published in reputed International Journal.

5- International Journals must be indexed and abstracted.

Authors name and address, Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Methodology, Observations, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, References, are very essential components and factors of research article.

Question: What are your recommendations to Indian Agricultural Research Institute: ICAR so that farmers could see drastic increase in their annual income?

Answer: Farmers can increase in their annual income for adopting recommendations of Indian Agriculture Research Institute.

1- By increase in agriculture productivity

2- By increase in cropping intensity.

3- By saving in cost of production.

4- By use of high quality seeds.

5- By adopting new agriculture technology.

6- By developing organic farming model.

Question: Which folk medicinal plants are unique assets for Madhya Pradesh?

Answer: Abrus precatorius, Adansonia digitata, Adhatoda vasica, Aloe vera, Andrographis paniculata, Azadirachta indica, Blumea lacera, Bosswellia serrata, Buchanania latifolia, Cassia fistula, Capparis decidua, Chlorophytum tuberosum, Cordia macleodii, Crinum asiaticum, Curcuma longa, Cyprus rotundus, Dalbergia paniculata, Embilica officinalis, Eclipta prostrata, Eugenia jambolana, Flacourtia ramontchi, Glorilosa superba, Gymnema sylvestris, Helecteris isora, Holarhena antidysentrica, Martynia diandra, Mentha arvensis, Ocimum sanctum, Peristraphe bicalyculata, Phyllanthus niruri, Putranjiva roxburghii, Solanum nigrum, Sterculia urens, Swertia chirayta, Tinospora cordifolia, Terminalia ballerica, Terminalia arjuna, Tylophora asthmatica, Tribulus terrestris, Tridax procumbens, Vitex negundo, Withania somnifera, Wrightia tinctoria, Zingiber officinalis, all these medicinal plants are unique assets of Madhya Pradesh.

Question: What are your recommendations to establish a world class research institute for Plant Physiology?

Answer: Following initiatives should be taken to establish a world class research institute for Plant physiology.

1- Blueprint of institute should be prepared.

2- All research facilities should be available in the institute.

3- Collection of literatures should be enough.

4- Main focus of institute should be in research activities.

5- Culture of excellence should be developed in the institute.

6- Priority must be given to talent.

Question: What are your recommendations to improve employment and scope in agriculture?

Answer: I recommend that it is an urgent need to popularize the modern techniques of farming as well as advantages of agriculture among the new generation. So that majority of youth can choose an option of their career in agriculture.

Agriculture sector has a lot of scope. It can provides more job opportunities in the field of Agricultural Biotechnology, Agricultural related Business, Agronomy, Nursery, Agro-forestry, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering. Now day, agriculture related services are becoming very important. So, agriculture sector will create more job opportunities in future.

Question: Would you start a campaign to request government to offer free of cost internet to all people of your country as fundamental right, because it plays a significant role in education, awareness, implementation of government policies and economic development of country

Answer: Yes, Sir.

Question: What are your recommendations to authors, who are writing Books on Plant Physiology for more creativity and understanding of the subject?

Answer: My suggestions to the authors of plant physiology are as follows-

1- All aspects of Plant physiology should be incorporated in the Books.

2- Authors should include very clear cut and updated concepts in the books

3- The language of books should be simple and suitable for readers.

4- Subject matter should be correct and accurate.

5- Practical exercise should be included at the end of each chapter.

6- Diagrams and formula should be included as required.

7- Relevant examples should be included in the books of Plant Physiology.

Question: What according to you are the Top 5 major challenges (research problems) which need to be resolved urgently by world’s scientists in the area of Plant Physiology?

Answer: According my knowledge the top 5 major challenges are as follows-

1- Lack of training programme on research methodology.

2- Lack of Scientific temperament among the researchers.

3- Lack of confidence among the researchers.

4- Insufficient library management.

5- Insufficient financial management.

6- Lack of infrastructure.

Question: What are your recommendations to improve standards of Conferences in Plant Physiology? How can they be brainstorming and more creative?

Answer: I hereby gave some suggestions to improve the standards of Conferences/Seminars organised on Plant Physiology.

1- Eminent resource persons should be invited on Conferences of plant physiology.

2- The findings of conferences should be shared with world.

3- Conference should be organized on burning and relevant issues.

4- Only standard research papers should be accepted for presentation.

5- All invited research papers should be published in the proceeding of conferences.

Question: Which major challenges do you see to establish India as world leader in Plant Physiology?

Answer: So many challenges are facing to establish India as world leader in field of Plant Physiology. India has collaborated with several countries in various sectors. But, India could not establish as world leader till date due to lack of infrastructure in the field of Plant Physiology. Today India has a golden opportunity to become a world leader in research and development.

Question: Any other thing, you would like to share with World?

Answer: I would like to share my opinion with world as follows-

1- The collective efforts should be made to develop the positive approach in public domain.

2- The collective efforts should be made to maintain the fraternity and integrity.

3- The collective efforts should be made to solve the crisis of pollution.

4- The collective effort should be made to develop an approach of “Save water save life.’’

5- The collective efforts should be done for the betterment of human being and humanity.

6- The collective efforts should be made to develop a concept of sustainable development.

7- The collective efforts should be made to promote the Mission of Clean India Healthy India at World level.
