The Room Where it Happens
Hide and Seek with Elmo and Ms. Rachel
Hide and Seek (Adapted)
Choose one player to be the seeker; the rest are hiders.
Hiders move to safe hiding spots or are guided there by a helper.
The seeker counts out loud (or uses a counting track, sound, or visual timer) with eyes closed or head turned.
When counting ends, the seeker looks for the hiders.
Hiders can use sound cues (like bells, shakers, or switch-activated noises) to make finding easier, if needed.
Game ends when all hiders are found—or a set time is up.
Hide and Seek with Silly Poopy
One player or helper hides Silly Poopy in the play area.
The seeker listens for Silly Poopy’s silly sounds and phrases to help find it.
If needed, a helper can press the button or activate the switch so Silly Poopy makes more noise.
The seeker moves toward the sound until they find Silly Poopy.
Players can take turns hiding and seeking.
