March Madness really happens in April. Let's shoot some hoops.
We are going to try using this website for our PE lessons. Each month will have songs, books, core words, and games/sports.

Basketball with a Leaf Blower and Switch
A lightweight ball is placed in front of the leaf blower tube.
The player presses an accessibility switch to turn on the blower.
The air pushes the ball up and toward the hoop for a “shot.”
This lets players shoot without lifting or throwing the ball.
Basketball with Adapted Ball Holders
The player uses a ball holder, scoop, or Velcro strap to grip the basketball.
They can then push, toss, or lift the ball toward the hoop.
Adapted grips help players control and throw the ball even with limited hand strength or dexterity.
Adapted Dribbling
Use larger, lighter, or slower-bouncing balls to make dribbling easier.
Players can dribble by pushing the ball down from their lap, tapping it with their foot, or using a scoop or paddle.
A dribble assist strap (strap attached to the ball and the player’s hand or wrist) keeps the ball from rolling away, making it easier to bounce repeatedly and control.
The focus is on bouncing the ball and keeping control, no matter the method used.
