Adding Decimals

To add decimals, line up the decimal points vertically, then  add the digits in each place value as you would with whole numbers, making sure to place the decimal point in the sum directly below the aligned decimal points ; if necessary, add zeros to the end of a number to ensure all decimal places are aligned.
