1. Describe, classify and differentiate between the various source materials available for the study of the different periods of history, Indian and foreign
2. Demonstrate their knowledge of the value and important of source materials, explain the methods and tools of collection of sources, use critical processes of authenticity and credibility, interpret and analyse data and present research writings coherently.
3. Recall landmark events in the history of the world, recognise the reasons for them being milestone events and argue their causes and impact.
4. Comment on the social, political, educational, religious, cultural and economic developments of different dynasties and geographic spaces in India and the world
5. Critique the development of institutions, ideas, schools of thought and movements responsible for the growth, development and transformation of state and society.
6. Assess the importance of ethics, values and norms, be sensitive to the environment, be perceptive to cultural heritage and considerate and caring of the underprivileged.
7. Disseminate knowledge about significant aspects of Ancient, Medieval, Modern and Contemporary periods of history, express lessons learnt in the form of answers, apply the information in assignments and presentations and critically evaluate the knowledge acquired.
8. Critically examine the lessons learnt from the past so as to establish a connect with current situations.
9. Work towards using acquired applied skills in research methodology, heritage tourism, archival sciences, numismatics and library management for employability.
