Overview

The Black Death is the largest demographic disaster to have ever occurred. To find any other similar population shift one would have to look to the Abrahamic religions' story of Noah's flood. Every aspect of Europe was affected and the Economy was no exception. Shifts in cultural values, shifts in population, shifts in resource availability are all inducers of economic change and can all be found during and after the black death.
