21 December 2023: The kickoff meeting (domestic) of HiPRECS Phase II was held in Nagoya University and online.
October 2023: HiPRECS Phase II was launched. In Phase II, we are focusing on precipitation processes and precipitation systems in the high-elevation glacierized catchment in the Nepal Himalayas.
1 May, 2023: A paper (Terao et al. 2023) was accepted in Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society.
24 January, 2023: A Paper (Hirata et al. 2023) was accepted in Journal of Hydrometeorology.
13 September, 2022: A paper (Fujinami et al. 2022) was published online in Geophysical Research Letters (open access).
April-May, 2022: Spring field survey was postponed due to COVID-19.
16 December, 2021: 4th HiPRECS domestic workshop was held online.
November, 2021: Mr. Tika Ram Gurung of the ICIMOD visited our sites and retrieved data from all rain gauges. The data loggers kept rainfall data for almost two summers (2020 and 2021)!

May - October, 2021: In-situ precipitation observation in Rolwaling Valley was suspended due to COVID-19.

November 2019: A weighing rain gauge (Pluvio) were newly installed by Trambau glacier at 5,442 m asl. (Prof. K. Fujita and Mr. Y. Sato). (shown as AWS2 in the map)
October, 2019: We successfully collected precipitation data in 2019 summer monsoon in all the six stations (Prof. K. Fujita and Mr. Y. Sato).
28 - 30 August, 2019: AsiaPEX kick-off international workshop was held at Hokkaido University.
23 July, 2019: 2nd HiPRECS domestic workshop was held at Nagoya University.

7 - 23 May, 2019: We installed rain gauges at Singati, Gongar, Simigaun, Dongang, Beding and Na along the Rolwaling valley. (Dr. H. Kanamori, Mr. Y. Sato and Mr. D. Sherpa)
5 - 18 March, 2019: H. Fujinami, Mr. Y. Sato and Mr. R. Kayastha stayed in the Rolwaling valley to survey the observation sites (Singati, Gogar, SimiGaun, Dongang and Beding) (see the observation sites).
3 - 4 December, 2018: HiPRECS kick-off workshop (domestic) was held in Nagoya University.
