A fun event with easy to complete quests and some nice pet rewards. You'll receive around 40~45 Action Points to move around the map, depending on your VIP level and the amount of Energy you're willing to invest. Completely clearing the map will require you to spend Emeralds and is generally not worth it.
The best things to buy at the Great Storm Shop is the Pet Soul Chest.
It will require you to save chests, likely from multiple events, to level up the rank of a pet.
The lower ranked gems can be worth buying if you happen to need one, but never buy the Flawless stones. The Storm Legacy will give you random pet rewards if you like to gamble, the returns are decent.
Skip the buffs at #34 and #54. They don't count towards the 'Continuous Battles' quest in the event and they don't give you any Storm Coins. Plus you don't need the buffs except for when fighting the BOSS.
So you're better off saving the 2 Action Points you'd use for those 2 nodes, to build up Storm Resistance or have more attempts at the final battle. The team below can clear the BOSS in 2 attempts with as little as 170 Storm Resistance. Dorian only needs to be level 130 with maxed skills, it's okay if he dies. As for the others, the stronger they are and the more Storm Resistance you have, the easier the fight becomes.

You need 150 Pet Summoning Eggs for this event, for 8,000 Pet Potions and 600 Chaos Particles.
Do not use Mira the Pet Master to level up your pets, it's not worth the Emeralds.

Robin is a great pet and well worth some effort. By the looks of it, he'll be in the top 3 for the most useful all-round pets, right next to Axel and Khorus. Stealing energy from enemies and giving it to your own slowest hero, plus boosting energy generation through patronage, are skills that are useful in any battle.
So your goal in this event should be to develop this pet as much as possible. That means the first priority is the fifth Robin Soul Stone Generator, to obtain 1,350 Robin Soul Stones, for which you need 12 Mead and 15,000 Barrel Keys first thing on October 07. The most likely way to achieve this is by investing Emeralds in the first Barrel Key Generator right from the start of the event on October 04.
Your second priority should be to buy the 1,000 Robin Soul Stones in the event shop. While this may not technically be the best buy in the shop to spend 20 Mead on, all those other items can be easily obtained in other events as well, such as the monthly new hero/titan events.
