Hurry up to enjoy the last days of Lara Croft's adventure and don't miss the chance to summon a new Heroine and obtain her 5 Skins, as you can only get all of the above during the event. But for those who will summon Lara Croft during the event, there will be a way to get Lara Croft's Soul Stones and Evolve her even after the end of the event!'
To get the most benefit out of the Lara Croft event, you should upgrade the Ring of Abundance relic to 4★ in the Workshop as soon as possible. This provides the best results for the least investment. If you’re aiming to complete everything, however, you’ll want to boost this relic all the way to 6★.
After that, it depends on what you want from the event:
If you’re targeting the totem reward from the boss battles, focus on buying Buffs (see the Temple Guardians posts above for how many you’ll need at each level).
If you’re after items, invest in the Ancient Bowl relic to earn more Ancient Coins for the Shop.
If your goal is a max-star Lara Croft, prioritize the Tome of Revelations relic to increase your Golden Vase income. At the Forgotten Treasury, open vases until you obtain Lara Croft Dolls or run out of Golden Vases—then reset and repeat.

From the experience of past events to get the most out of it all, this is what you should do in order:
Level up the Material Seeker artifact in the Workshop to 4 stars.
(Level up the Medallion of Prosperity in the Workshop to 4+ stars. But only if you aim for the items in the shop and not the final BOSS rewards, such as the red orb and totem. To reach those rewards you might need to spend some real money too, so keep that in mind.)
Fight the boss battles at the Path of the Four.
You should not spend any Adventure Energy on the next step until the previous ones have been completed.
Be careful, it looks like we'll get another event Treasury, so you might want to save your Adventure Energy as much as possible. Here is the link to Lara's The Forgotten Treasury for reference. In short, if you want to play smart, save your pizza! Do the event quests and then stop! When part 4 is live, you can start raiding for materials and fight Shredder all you want.

As per usual with an event like Way of the Truth Seeker, it's probably best to wait a few days if you want to get the most out of the event. Only do the daily tasks and let the YouTubers figure out the best (cheapest) way to kill the BOSS. It's a week long event, so no need to stress during the week, just wait for the weekend and have fun then.
You can invest in Folio's Codex as much as you want without waiting. This only effects how much you can buy in the Oasis Shop. But again, before you start buying Folio stars like mad, wait a couple of days so the YouTubers can figure out the what the best deals are.

If you're buying the event ticket, the first day (Monday May 12) is the best because you get extra Emerald Dolls from the Weaving Patterns event. The same goes for the Emerald sale, combined with the Lyria event and Weaving Patterns you effectively have a ×6 sale. So if you're going to buy any, today is the day.
After each battle in the event the Hero Stall resets, so don't bother refreshing and pinning extra Hero Fragments if you can't afford to buy any more of them. Just pin the remaining ones you want, go do a battle and the rest of the Hero Stall will be refreshed for free.
There is nothing special in the Infernal Jam Chests (so no Lyria Soul Stones, Emeralds or Energy), just the standard gold, skin stones, artifact coins, etc. So do not go out of your way to collect them on the Rockfest Mysterious Island, they are not worth the Explorer Moves.

As Free2Play player if you put in a lot of effort you will be able to receive 530 Energy Crystals, which is enough to buy yourself 200 buffs at the Amulet of Battle as long as you invest it all in that one Relic. The first 456 Energy Crystals can be earned by playing regularly and participating in the event every day. Don't forget to collect the Daily Reward and free Daily Charges! The other 74 Energy Crystals can be gotten from gifts and completing more difficult event quests such as spending extra Sapphire Medallion or Emeralds. Just patiently collect them all and wait with any spending until Saturday July 19 when the titan events are active. The 200 buffs will allow you to complete six chapters of the event, meaning Fire Dance will be the last. You will be able to obtain the Gift of the Dominion but not the Absolute Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere. You will not be able to obtain the totem fragment, even if you complete every single quest, without paying actual money.
If you're buying the event ticket, the sixth day (Saturday July 19) is the best because you get extra rewards from the three Titan Events and Emerald Waterfalls is up too. It's a good day to spend as well if you are planning on winning the Titan Tournament for example. Buying the ticket will give you another 168 Energy Crystals. Assuming you also obtained the above 456, you're still 166 short of the 790 total needed to earn the totem fragment. The cheapest way to get the remaining Energy Crystals is to buy the Daily Charge all the way to Heavy Charge III for one (or maybe two) day(s). It depends on how many Emeralds you've spent, VIP points you've gotten and gifts you've received during the event.
Should you find yourself with some extra Energy Crystals, try and buy at least the 2nd and 3rd levels for the Tome of Greed. This will cost you 30 Energy Crystals, but it'll give you ×6 Valor Coins whenever you turn in more Energy Crystals. Ideally you want to upgrade the Tome of Greed before you start buying buffs for the Amulet of Battle to earn the most Valor Coins. The Grail of Generosity isn't really worth investing into.

The special objects on the Guus Island are Goose Legacy Chests (not very valuable, they have regular hero upgrade items in them) and Sapphire Medallions (shop coins). You need 33 moves to get the Emerald Tower, but the Chaotic Particles Tower is in the direct route (21 moves), so you get that one for free. The Emerald Tower also holds the first 4 Magic Penetration Patterns in the game.

2 Energy Crystals / 750 Valor Coins / 1 Relic = 1 Adventure Chest;
1 Sapphire Medallion = 15 Adventure Chests;
Adventure Buff = 3 Adventure Chest + 1 more Adventure Chest for each 10 points of Adventure Buff."
As a Free-to-Play player, if you put in consistent effort, you can earn up to 530 Energy Crystals during the event. This will allow you to obtain the Gift of the Dominion but not the Absolute Elemental Spirit Summoning Sphere. You will not be able to obtain the totem fragment, even if you complete every single quest, without paying actual money.
If you’re planning to buy the Event Ticket, the 3rd day (Wednesday, September 24) is the best time to do so, as you’ll also receive extra rewards from the Tenebris Brawl, Guardians of the Outland, and Weaving Patterns events. Purchasing the ticket grants an additional 168 Energy Crystals (150 from ticket rewards + 18 from VIP points). Assuming you’ve already earned the 456 free ones, you’ll still be 166 short of the 790 total needed to reach the totem fragment. The cheapest way to make up the difference is to buy the Daily Charge up to Heavy Charge III for one (possibly two) day(s). This depends on how many Emeralds you've spent, VIP points you’ve accumulated, and gifts you’ve received. Combining the Event Ticket (1,600) + Heavy Charge III (1,300) + Valkyrie’s Favor (100) yields 3,000 VIP points, which gives another 18 Energy Crystals plus 58 more from the charging. The remaining 90 Energy Crystals can be obtained by spending even more Sapphire Medallions (~80+) and Emeralds (~50,000+).
If you end up with extra Energy Crystals, consider upgrading the Tome of Greed to at least level 2 or 3. This costs 30 Energy Crystals, but increases your Valor Coin earnings ×6 for every Energy Crystal spent thereafter. Ideally, upgrade the Tome before purchasing buffs for the Amulet of Battle to maximize Valor Coin gains. The Grail of Generosity, on the other hand, isn’t worth investing in.
Finally, remember that the Hero Stall resets after each battle, so there’s no need to refresh or pin extra Hero Fragments if you can’t afford them. Just pin the fragments you want, complete another battle, and enjoy a free refresh of the remaining slots.
The special objects on Cascade Island are 20 Sapphire Medallions (shop coins), 60 Elemental Catalysts, and 60 Primal Catalysts. You’ll need 39 moves to collect all three tower rewards.
