I began classical piano training at the age of four, and what started as a childhood hobby has grown into an inseparable part of my identity. Now pursuing a Music Performance minor at the University of Toronto alongside my studies in Electrical Engineering, I’ve come to see piano not just as a technical pursuit, but as a powerful language of emotion and connection.
Over the years, my perspective has evolved—from focusing on precision and technique to embracing the deeper artistry of performance: how to express myself, interpret the composer’s intentions, and invite the audience into each piece’s emotional world. My foundational technique was shaped by studying the works of Bach, Mozart, Haydn, and Liszt—pieces that trained my discipline, touch, and sense of phrasing.
This page is a window into my musical journey—featuring past performances, ongoing projects, and the pieces that continue to shape my growth as both a pianist and a storyteller through sound.
Currently, I’m exploring a diverse repertoire, including:
"Numa Ame" by Chinese composer Zhang Zhao, a poetic and contemporary piece filled with delicate textures and subtle colors,
Franz Schubert’s Six Moments Musicaux, a series of lyrical miniatures that demand both sensitivity and nuance,
And several Mozart sonatas, including KV 309, K 485, and K 331—each one revealing a different side of his clarity, charm, and emotional depth.
This is an unpublished recording of my performance of Numa Ame at the 2025 Showcase Recital, presented jointly by the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering and the Faculty of Music at Hart House, University of Toronto. A formal release—including mixed audio and video of the full program—is currently in progress.
