Learning Outcomes for ANIM2004
On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:
Analyse existing production models and deconstruct them for study.
Generate a synopsis and 'treatment' and engage in pre-production processes.
Articulate how historical and cultural aspects of animation have informed their current practices.
Judge the appropriateness of different techniques and approaches to animation.
Use appropriate software tools to produce an animated short.
Assessment
There are two assessment points on this this module:
Body of practical work, including developments, tests, and pre-production work. The practical submission must be accompanied with a 2000 word written work containing proposals for a film, along with synopsis and treatment. (40%)
Pitch and produce the work agreed on in the first submission. (60%)
