He currently serves as the National Landslide Specialist at FAO Bangladesh, where he leads the development of the Landslide Early Warning System (LEWS) for Cox’s Bazar, integrating geospatial analytics and community-based resilience planning. Anamik has previously worked with PKSF, Helen Keller International, and other organizations, contributing to major projects funded by the World Bank, USAID, and UN agencies.
He holds an M.Sc. in Geography and Environment from the University of Dhaka and has published 10 international research papers. His professional expertise spans data science, environmental monitoring, and climate adaptation, with a passion for technology-driven humanitarian solutions. A recipient of multiple academic and professional recognitions, he represents Bangladesh in various international research and leadership forums.
Anamik Ani Khan is a seasoned professional and researcher with over 10 years of experience in MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning), GIS and Remote Sensing, Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Watershed Management, and Project Management across national and international development sectors. He is currently serving as the National Landslide Specialist at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, where he leads technical initiatives on the Landslide Early Warning System (LEWS), disaster resilience, and anticipatory action planning in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.
His career is distinguished by a strong focus on applying technology-driven solutions and big data analytics to promote climate resilience, environmental management, and sustainable development.
