Data Collection

We surveyed about 48 users who varied in age, but the majority were roughly in their early 20’s to early 30’s. Most of our users were college graduates belonging to the 25k-50k salary range. In addition, we found that most people are self-aware that they’re mostly responsible for change to the environment and that they were also aware of the current environmental state. Many users also actively recycle. We also surveyed how users utilize their apps, and what types of apps they use mostly, and found that social media usage took up most of the of app usage for the surveyed people.

We interviewed four people, all college aged students. We found that people are aware of the poor state of the environment, that they are still actively looking to help the current state of the environment and most of them live in areas that promote sustainability

After the interview process, and with the surveys in mind we went through and produced an affinity diagram which helped us to pull out the most important information from the interviews, and what were the key themes.
