Mr. Richardson is the band director at Haynes Middle School. He has been at Haynes for over 10 years and taught in this area for most of his career. Mr. Richardson previously worked at Bordeaux, King's Lane, Ewing Park, and Brick Church. He was also an an assistant band director at Whites Creek High School.

He graduate from Tennessee State University, where he was a member of the "Aristocats of Bands."

A note from Mr. Richardson:

I still enjoy playing my instrument and performing. I believe that all of our band students can be successful, and all members play a significant part in the organization. One of my favorite music quotes is by Plato, A CLASSICAL GREEK PHILOSOPHER, MATHEMATICIAN, and the quote says that,

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”

I look forward to working with our student musicians as we navigate through this new and challenging virtual world of music performance.
