Tscheppaschlucht Gorge

One of Austria's most impressive gorges with the Tschauko waterfall, the Felsentor (Rock Gate) and the Teufelsbrücke (Devil's Bridge). The main entrance is only 15 minutes drive away. It takes at least 1 hour to hike from the entrance to the waterfall. You can also hike from the waterfall to Guesthouse Deutscher Peter or even back to Bodental. There are few exits and bus stops along the route so you can go back to the car park by bus (bus fare is included in your ticket price).

Waldseilpark Tscheppaschlucht (Zip Line Park)

First and biggest family adventure park in Carinthia, located at the entrance to the Tscheppaschlucht gorge. It is a park of unique attractions and challenges set up in the wood. The youngest will enjoy the climbing tracks one or two meters above the ground, while thrill seekers can experience an adrenaline rush on the spectacular Flying Fox (zip wire) about 42 meters above the ground! 15 minutes drive away.

Waterfall Savica in Triglav National Park, Slovenia

The Triglav National Park covers 880 square kilometres, or 3% of the territory of Slovenia and is among the earliest European parks. Waterfall Savica (Slap Savica) is the third most visited attraction in Slovenia. A spectacular waterfall, hidden amidst the steep walls of the Komarča. Difficulty: 20 to 25 minutes moderate walk on stone steps. About 45 min. to 1h drive from Haus Idyll.

Hint: Only park in designated places and pay for your parking immediately or else you'll get a fine!
