Edelstein Apartment

This apartment is called Edelstein (German word for gemstone - precious stone) after the rock feature in the double bedroom. This part of the mountain was revealed when the house was being built and was left in the wall as an ornamental feature.

This cosy, self-catering holiday apartment (44m²) with a lockable door on the lower ground floor of our house, consistently wins 5 out of 5 stars on Airbnb (see the Testimonials section below). (Update 2019: Our Airbnb profile is temporarily inactive, since we're not renting at the moment but we plan to restart soon!)

Apartment details

• One double bedroom (pillows, duvets, bed linen and blankets provided)
• One twin bedroom (separated from the living room by a curtain instead of doors)
• A bathroom with shower (towels, soap and toilet paper provided)
• Comfortable living room with dining area and kitchen (includes electric hob with oven, fridge with freezing compartment, kettle, filter coffee machine, cookware, kitchen utensils and tableware)
• Wi-Fi (WLAN)
• Guests can access our laundry room with a washing machine and dryer
• The apartment is partially below the ground level with natural light and views of the garden. Guests can also use sitting area in the front of the house and the garden with its charming wooden hut.

Other things to note

• Families with small children or infants are welcome but we have no equipment, amenities or safety measures for them
• We usually have quiet time in the house between 23:00 and 06:00 (within reason)
• No smoking in the apartment. You can smoke outside. We provide ash trays on request
• There is no TV
• We'll be available to offer help throughout your stay, as we live on the ground floor of the house.

Prices and bookings

Prices from €30 to €80 per night, depending on:

• the length of your stay (discounts for two or more nights' stay)
• number of people (children under two stay for free)
• the season

For an exact quote, please contact us and provide the dates you would like to book, number of adults and number of children (including the ages of the children) and we'll promptly get back to you. We usually accept bookings for up to six months ahead.

"The apartment is located in a truly spectacular location. We used it as our base for the Ironman Austria in Klagenfurt which is located about 30 minutes drive away. The drive itself is pretty special with some good walks available. Hosts were brilliant, place was immaculately clean and we are just gutted we didn't get to pop over to Slovenia and see the waterfall. An excuse to visit again perhaps?"

Edelstein Apartment windows (the lowest windows) were designed to let appropriate amount of light in. Since there's no balcony in this apartments you're also welcome to use the terrace at the front of the house, the garden and the charming wooden hut.
