THE marriage between Janthea Weir, daughter of Joan and Steven Wilson, of Rose Cottage Farm, York Road, Green Hammerton and Paul Robert Mattocks, son of Rose and Brian Mattocks, of New Inn Farm, Hopperton, Knaresborough took place at the Church of the Ascension, Whixley.
The bride was given away by her father and wore an ivory Alice James A/Line dress, drop pearl necklace and full-length veil. She carried an ivory and green rose bouquet. The bridesmaids, Abigail Mattocks, Laura Armstrong, Kimberley Weir and Matron of Honour Joanne Carlos wore violet organza dresses with pearl tiaras. The best man was Robert Fox supported by groomsmen Darren Weir and Mark Atkinson. The service was taken by the Rev David Wheeler, the organist Catherine Leather played the Trumpet Voluntary and the Entrance of the Queen of Sheba.
After a reception at Aldwark Manor, Aldwark near Alne, the couple spent their honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
