The wedding between Gillian Weighell, daughter of John and Mary Weighell of Far Fairholme, Morton on Swale and Jeff Barthram, only son of Leslie and Joan Barthram of Bonnie Hill Farm, Great Broughton took place at St Helen's Church, Ainderby Steeple. The couple were taken to and from the church in a horse drawn carriage .
The bride who was given away by her father, wore a tailored white satin dress with half veil and a tiara and ,she carried a bouquet of freesias and white Yorkshire roses.
The bridesmaids , were Jill Elliott and Heather Weighell and they wore scarlet red full length dresses and carried a bouquet to complement the bride's. The service was taken by the Rev John Wilson and the best man was Craig Jones. The groomsmen were Martin Weighell, John Elliott and Russell Garbutt.
A reception for 100 guests was held in a marquee at the bride's home the couple spent their honeymoon m New Zealand .
The bride is a milk recording secretary and a well known horsewoman in the area and the bridegroom is a farmer.
