About Us
Hand in Hand Community CIC was established in 2022 to work with Afro-Caribbean families within Greater Manchester to develop the 'whole family' focusing on mental and emotional health.
We believe that when one person in a family is struggling, the impact is felt by everyone. Family relationships, communication, and day-to-day functioning can all be affected, and we see this every day in the communities we serve.
Our work is shaped by both lived experience and professional expertise. We understand the real challenges families face in our communities and respond with empathy, respect, and care.
We provide trauma-informed, culturally appropriate, and community-led support for children, young people, and adults, with mental and emotional wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We also work to address the barriers, misconceptions, and inequalities that prevent families from accessing the support they deserve.
Our team brings together experience in social work, mental health nursing, healthcare, coaching, and support services; all working towards stronger families and healthier communities.
Our Vision: To build a safer and prosperous Community.
Mission: To provide opportunities for families to grow and thrive together, and for every individual to reach their full potential
Our Values: Integrity, Transparency, Empowerment, & Responsibility.
