Every now and then, I like to browse different types of Jams that are taking place and see if I can participate in the ones that peeks my interest. One of these was a Game Jam I saw on itch.io, It's theme was anything that relates to Valentine. I tried to look at it from outside the box and see if I can focus on the Narrative. Around the same time, I learned how to program and make text-based adventure games using Twine. Mixing the two together I created a story that has 15 different ending, and every now and then I go back and add more features to it.
Since it's a game that focused on Narratives, I tried in implement a mechanic that works with the mind of the player, revolving around Respect, Morality, and Self Esteem. We had a month to submit the game but I really liked the concept and decided to add wisdom as a mechanic after the Jam was over! I have made a note on all the changes I have made in each patch as I update the game.
I didn't want it to be a single narrative story, I wanted the players decisions influence the path that the story moves. With in these 15 endings, you can get a very different path, and all ending are not in the same way, there is a chance that you might turn into a zombie, or end up in prison as a thief or become a soldier in a war. The path rests in your hands.
