I chose to do an 11/12th grade psychology lesson for my first lesson plan. I wanted it to be more interactive than just lecture style notes. My biggest focus was making sure I included a variety of teaching materials to cater to different learning styles. My favorite part of this lesson was my bell ringer question. I thought it was a great way to introduce the topic and also get my students to do some deep thinking. The part I think I could've improved on was I should have added a worksheet to go along with the video so the students remained fully engaged.
For my second lesson, I chose to do the same unit as my first lesson but a different topic. My challenge for this lesson was I had to use technology at some point during my lesson. I made the first half of the class designated for notes so the students would have the material to work on their activity. I made them use their laptops to make a quick 1 minute video on a vocabulary term we went over in class. They had to act out an example and also include the definition. We then came together for the last part of class and presented the videos. I think this lesson went really well because the students remained engaged and gave positive feedback.
