An animatronics project made in partnership with the prosthetics department to create a broken arm that still moved for a nightmare sequence in a thesis film. The project was proposed close to its deadline during a busy period in our shop, so efficiency was key. I was in charge of creating 3D printed internal shells for the arm to protect the cable mechanisms and keep them at a fixed length, reduce the thickness of the silicon for better movement, and make sure the arm moved in the desired way.
