Gyanshakti has a flexible model of accepting donations consistent with its objectives and transparency. Projects meeting the objectives of the trust can be discussed with potential donors. We are in the process of applying for income tax exemption status in India. The trust already has a registered PAN number. We don't have FCRA approval at this stage, therefore, we cannot accept foreign currency donations from non-Indian citizens. NRIs with Indian passport are allowed to donate, however. All donations from Indians is tax exempt under section 80G of the Income Tax Act of India.

Named Scholarship:
Trust can facilitate award funding for 3 to 4 years of degree/undergraduate studies to a meritorious student from poor background. Please see example of KK Jha Memorial scholarship under scholarships. Sourcing of students and selection criteria can be discussed with the potential donor/sponsor. A dedicated web page will be setup for each scholarship keeping details of the awardee, recipient, progress report etc. Smaller one/time named scholarship can also be arranged by the trust.
We plan to populate this page with other successful projects and donation models. We are happy to receive ideas. Please contact the trustees in the interim.
