Background

Preeti’s mother, Satyawati is a housewife. Her father, Kuwarpal earns his living as a farmer. They hail from the village Pagona. She has three brothers and two sisters.

About Preeti

Preeti is currently studying in class 7 at PPES. She comes to school by bicycle. Preeti loves English and wants to become a teacher when she grows up. Her favourite colour is pink and she loves to read books. She is very good at kho-kho (an Indian game).

The girls at PPES are usually the first generation of girls to receive an education in their families. When these girls come to school, PPES strives to not just make them literate but also to bring them into their own; give them the chance to be children; and help them pursue their dreams.
