By 2024, GBHWC’s ability to address the seven core elements of suicide-safer care in its approach to behavioral health services, based on the Zero-Suicide Framework (ZSF), will reach at least a target rating of “4 = Near Comprehensive Practices are in Place.”
GFOL distributed an infographic (see image below) to all GBHWC users presenting the Zero Suicide Framework workforce survey results completed last year.
By 2024, GBHWC will have tracked a 4-year implementation record of its Zero Suicide Plan.
During Year 3, the GBHWC Zero Suicide Implementation Team met with the Zero Suicide consultant regarding the implementation of the Zero Suicide plan. In November 2023, the GFOL Project Director attended the Zero Suicide virtual conference. The GBHWC Zero Suicide implementation team also met in November and reviewed the suicide care pathway in January 2024.
By 2024, GBHWC, as a member of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL) network, will operate a local suicide prevention lifeline that will receive at least 70% of NSPL calls from the island.
During Year 4, 988 received a total of 3,324 calls and answered a total of 3,065 calls. This is an average answer rate of 92.2%.
GFOL utilized social media campaigns and static ads to promote the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The social campaigns included platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube had a total reach of 418,758 people. The static and radio ads in local media and venues had a total reach of 65,824 viewers.
