The following are general rules and regulations which describe an unlimited list of terms that must be followed by LAPD during the exercise of active duty within the Department, regardless of what position they hold within the hierachical structure of the organization. It is noteworthy that any breach of these terms exposes the offender to disciplinary action, suspension or permanent discharge from police duties.
Every Officer must respect his or her peers, subordinates and superiors, as well as the citizens of the State of San Andreas equally.
Every Officer must uphold the department's core values to the highest order, and must not abuse his authority or position.
Every Officer must salute his superiors if present unless the situation is inappropriate (officer in danger, et cetera.).
Every Officer must ensure the maintenance of their patrol vehicle, by repairing it when possible.
Every Officer must not release confidential information to the public.
Every Officer must present his badge number when requested.
Every Officer must remain professional over the internal LAPD radio and department-wide radio. ((Also on Teamspeak and Discord.))
Every Officer must respect the chain of command.
Every Officer must execute orders issued by his or her superior unless it is an unlawful order.
Every Officer must follow the Constitution of San Andreas.
Every Officer must provide help to those that need it. (On-Duty aswell out of duty.)
Every Officer must comply with the Internal Affairs Division.
Every Officer should attempt to partner up, as soon as he gets on duty.
Every Officer must prioritize peaceful ways to handle situations on the field.
Every Officer must not portray the Los Angeles Police Department in a negative image to the others.
Every Officer must be a law abiding citizen while performing police duties.
Every Officer must not commit any crimes in or off duty regardless of severity.
Only personnel holding the assignment of Public Affairs Spokesperson (if not available a Sergeant II or higher and or a Internal Affairs Member) may talk to the media on behalf of the Department.
Department personnel must direct the media towards a Public Affairs Spokesperson or if not available a Sergeant II or higher and or a Internal Affairs Member if asked any questions that relate to their duties.
