WEEK 1
This week, we formed Group 12 and had our first encounter with the software called Miro. The topic of our study this week was "Blender Ladder". As a team, we collaborated on filling in the Miro board together.
I have learned about TRACK and have come to appreciate the importance of the Teacher Technical Knowledge Framework. Through the study of TRACK, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of its concept and significance. The Teacher Technical Knowledge Framework encompasses the essential technical skills and knowledge that educators need to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices.
WEEK 2
This week, we joined the Google Classroom and completed the Miro board for the second week.
I have learned about the concept of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and explored various pedagogy theories. Understanding LMS has provided us with insights into the digital platforms that facilitate online learning environments and streamline educational processes. Furthermore, our exploration of pedagogy theories has expanded our understanding of different approaches and strategies that inform effective teaching practices.
WEEK 3
This week, we learned about the application of Geogebra in teaching for educators.
I have learned about the practical application of Geogebra in teaching and discovered its immense potential as an instructional tool for educators. We explored how Geogebra can be used to visualize and animate mathematical concepts, making abstract ideas more concrete and accessible to students. Our exploration of Geogebra this week has highlighted its invaluable role as a powerful tool for educators. With its versatile features and interactive capabilities, Geogebra opens up exciting possibilities to enhance teaching and learning in mathematics and beyond.
WEEK 4
This week, we learned about the application of Desmos in teaching for educators.
I have learned about how Desmos can be used to create interactive activities and simulations that bring mathematics to life. Desmos provides an array of tools and functionalities that cater to different mathematical topics and grade levels. From basic arithmetic to advanced calculus, Desmos offers a versatile platform for teaching a wide range of mathematical concepts.
WEEK 5
This week, we learned about ChatGPT and utilized it to create a lesson plan. Working with ChatGPT enabled us to explore its potential as an educational tool. However, we also recognized the importance of exercising caution and moderation in its usage.
We learned to approach its use with discernment and to critically evaluate the generated outputs. As educators, it is our responsibility to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness of the information provided by ChatGPT. Our exploration of ChatGPT this week shed light on its potential as a tool for developing educational resources. Simultaneously, we recognized the need for cautious and critical usage, ensuring that we validate the information and exercise our professional judgment.
WEEK 6 - 8
We collaboratively designed a lesson together, incorporating the previously learned software like Geogebra and Desmos. Throughout this process, we truly experienced the value of this lesson. These software tools brought vitality and interactivity to the class, engaging students actively in learning, understanding mathematical concepts, and problem-solving.
