If you've played this game, you know how OP her personal skill can be. If you've played Demonic, you know it also starts falling off. All that said, Zanele is still an amazing unit with amazing growths. If you can get out of the mindset of boxing her into Tamer/Beastmaster in Demonic, she will have phenomenal growths and if you still box her into that, the Recurve Bow with the Piercing Rune is pretty strong while being a practically uncontested bow. That said, despite how good of a unit she is, she's still average. She is in B tier solely because she enables training map loops.
Zanele is probably the most discussed but boxed-in unit due to her personal skill.
She wants to stay away from the Cuttthroat class but she does really well in both Tamer and Quickdraw and even Ranger.
Tamer - Tamer Zanele is, by now, no secret. Her personal Command pet skill allows her to gain gold, as long as her monkey hits the foe and the foe dies. Not only does this give a sizable amount of gold, but the skill itself does a LOT of true damage. Tamer itself is a great class because, while it is slow, it is also very unsuspectingly tanky, has 1-2 range and increases the scaling of all "Command" pet type skills - and , for Zanele, this is both the damage and the gold accrued.
Quickdraw - Quickdraw is Zanele's base class. Honestly, Zanele is really, really good in it. She will be able to quad things with a Repeater and get mana back to use her Command skills more frequently.
Ranger - Look at Zanele's Ranger statline. She'll be pretty bulky and you could legitimately run her as a Ranger until her Tier 3 comes up. Lanky Spanky can be mana reduced for a decent stun, and Command Orangutan can help with getting some crits. But yeah, Command Capuchin still op.
Beastmaster - Let's start with the obvious winner and what Zanele is always boxed into - Tamer Beastmaster.
1. In demonic, enemies have quite a bit of defense and the Recurve Bow is pretty decent as it lets her ignore enemy defenses while her pets continue to do true damage. Early on while you are farming the training maps, I recommend both Lava and Mystic Rings to maximize her damage and gold from her personal skill. Companion Ring is nice to use on Zanele, but also not needed. Her rings here are actually quite flexible so use what you want.
2. Zanele has a pretty insane Mastery growth. Even though Cuttthroat doesn't do much for HER, Licky Lasso is such a good skill and can do a lot for your teammates. The Advantage Ring makes use of her high Mastery, allowing her to ignore her Mastery % of the enemy's defense - which is exceedingly good when paired with Ferocity that will attack with only 60% of your power. The Farseer Ring will double the extended range glyphs on Licky Lasso so it will hit an extra 2 spaces. You could also substitute it out for the Lava or Mystic Ring.
Slayer - Similar to other Slayers, you want to maximize the RNG on Ricochet, so put the RNG rings on and let RNG do its thing. Zanele has low luck, so unless you are specifically going for Licky Lasso, I would advise against Cuttthroat. She's going to want to spam her personal anyway which is enabled more frequently with Quickdraw's Alacrity passive giving up to 15 mana back on a 1-2 range Karambit.
Deadeye - Deadeye Zanele is actually really good. She has a ton of power and speed, she'll get up to 15 mana back on Repeater hits due to Quickdraw's Alacrity. Additionally, she'll have access to Wing Buffet which can be used by other party members - guaranteeing a slow unit doubles - or quads!
Warden - Not a great class, not a great build, but look at those stats. Zanele is really strong.
