Johann Gottlob Mühlberg was born in Gleisberg on the 23rd of January 1757, at 8 o’clock in the evening to Johann George Mühlberg and Regina Braunsdorf. Johann Gottlob was baptised two days later in Gleisberg. His baptism was witnessed by Godparents Johann George Mahler, farmer in Gruna near Nossen; Johann Martin Häuer, gardener; and Christina Langens, eldest daughter of Johann Langens, farmer in Gleisberg.
Johann Gottlob lived in Roßwein where he worked as a bricklayer. Roßwein is located 4 kms, west-southwest, from Gleisberg where Johann Gottlob’s father Johann George Mühlberg died.
Johann Gottlob Mühlberg died on the 4th of September 1791 in Roßwein.

Eva Rosina Rost and Johann Gottlob Mühlberg married. Born to them was a son, Johann Gotthelf Mühlberg on the 5th of May 1790. A year later, Johann Gottlob Mühlberg died on the 4th of September 1791 at Roßwein, age 34. Johann was buried two days later in Roßwein.
Following the death of Johann Gottlob Mühlberg, Eva Rosina remarried a year later to Christian Gotthelf Rudolph who became foster father to baby Johann Gotthelf Mühlberg. Eva and Christian lived in Roßwein where Christian also worked as a bricklayer. Baptism records of Eva Rosina’s grand children reveal that Christian Gotthelf Rudolph had at least one daughter, a Johanne Christiane Rudolph, who was Godmother to Friedrich Wilhelm Mühlberg.
Eva Rosina Rudolph died on the 23rd of December 1818 at Roßwein, age 56. Eva was buried in Roßwein three days later.
