Greater Latrobe Junior Wrestling provides an opportunity for boys and girls (ages 5 through 6th grade) to participate in one of the most rewarding sports available. The elementary junior wrestling program is often referred to as the Junior Olympic program (JO).
Wrestling will help your child develop self-confidence, coordination, strength and agility. The coaches and officers of this organization, volunteer their time and are dedicated to providing a safe and rewarding experience for all participants. Children will learn techniques, skills and conditioning appropriate for their age in a positive encouraging atmosphere.
Our group participates in the Keystone League, which is comprised of over 45 schools throughout Allegheny, Westmoreland, and Indiana counties. There are six (6) scheduled Keystone meets during the season, held at various locations on the weekends. At the meets, wrestlers are paired according to age, weight and experience levels. Your child will wrestle 2 matches at each meet. There is no additional charge to participate in the Keystone League meets.
