While Gray Eagle has a few signs along streets indicating this is a "No Solicitation" neighborhood, it cannot legally prevent door-to-door solicitation. However, door-to-door solicitors are required to register with the Fishers Police Department before canvassing neighborhoods. If you prefer not to deal with door-to-door solicitors, stop by the Fishers Police Department to pickup a sticker like the one shown here.
Stickers need to be placed at your front entrance in a clearly visible place, usually on a front-door sidelight window. Registered solicitors who see the sticker should be aware not to knock on your door.
Please be aware that neighborhood children who are participating in fund drives for their school group, social or church groups are still welcome to call on their neighbors and are not required to register with the Fishers Police Department.
If enough homeowners place a no-solicitation sticker on their front doors, Gray Eagle will be less likely to be a target neighborhood for door-to-door solicitors. As well it will be easier for Fishers Police to stop solicitors who do not register.
