The City of Fishers is responsible for all paved roads in the Gray Eagle neighborhood. The city snow-ice control policies and maps address the primary roads such as 116th, 126th, Brooks School and Olio Roads first. All other neighborhood streets are done in subsequent rounds. Inside our neighborhood that means streets such Gray Eagle, Duval and Silverstone Drives will typically be plowed by the city first, then other side streets and finally cul-de-sacs will be taken care of.
The Gray Eagle HOA activates the services of our private contractor only to supplement plowing of areas and intersections around neighborhood for major winter storms exceeding four inches of snow.
When possible, stay off the roads and postpone travel. Please have family members and visitors park on your driveway and not the streets.
Give the Fishers city snowplow services and our private snow removal contractor as much free space as possible to clear our streets
Once the snowplows have plowed your street, please direct the snow from your snow blowers and shovels onto your yard or the strip of grass between your sidewalk and not the street.
If your mailbox is damaged and/or if your yard is “peeled up” by a snowplow, you can report that to the City of Fishers online here. If you witness an incident that causes damage, please try to identify whether it’s a city snowplow or not. Those are normally a red vehicle or those with a Fishers City emblem on the door.
See the graphic below for a tip on how to reduce the amount of snow the plows leave at the end of your driveway. Always pile snow to the right side of your driveway (as you look at the street from your driveway). If possible, consider waiting to clear your own driveway and sidewalks until the street is done.
