Laying the Foundation
We kicked off the project by meeting our advisor, introducing ourselves, and forming a Telegram group for communication. Initial discussions helped us identify each team member’s strengths, setting the stage for smooth collaboration.
Brainstorming and Idea Selection
After brainstorming six ideas, we narrowed it down to three:
1. Medication Dispensing IoT System
2. Tomato Powder Production
3. Smart Adaptive Parking System
Following research and pitching to our advisor, we chose the "Tomato Powder Production" project due to its alignment with SDGs and inclusivity of all departments.
Proposal Drafting
We divided tasks to prepare the project proposal. I contributed to the introduction, objectives, and problem statement, ensuring a solid foundation for the narrative.
Refining the Proposal
After receiving feedback from our advisor, we revised and polished the proposal. The final submission marked a major milestone for our team.
Experimentation and 3D Design
We secured lab access and conducted the tomato powder experiment while the design team worked on detailed 3D models. This dual approach ensured progress on both practical and digital fronts.
Materials and Budget
A detailed cost analysis was approved by our advisor, enabling us to procure project materials and prepare for prototype construction.
Prototype Construction
The team began building the prototype while overcoming challenges with material cutting. Meanwhile, the lab team successfully prepared dried tomatoes for testing.
Prototype Testing and Final Touches
This week marked a significant milestone as we completed our prototype, leaving only minor details to finalize. Rigorous testing began to ensure the machine functioned correctly and met project specifications.
