GENERAL DEPARTMENT

General Department of Government Polytechnic, Godhra came to be established in the year 2005. At present with 05 permanent faculty members including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with the qualified degree in their respective fields. . The faculties strengthen the fundamental concepts of first year students for being future engineers. The department offer is responsible to teach foundation courses like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English to all diploma engineering branches of the institute.

Mission

Develop knowledge and decision making ability of students to compete globally.
Acquaint students with real world problem solving capabilities of Mathematics.
Train students to practice real world problem solving capabilities of Mathematics and Humanities.

HUMANITIES:

Make students understand and apply the basic and most useful theories and experiments of mother of engineering Physics in the real world.
To create knowledge of chemical analysis and theories through Chemistry.
As requirement of 21st century make students fluent in English language and understand importance of Grammar through English.

Laboratories:

PHYSICS LABORATORY

Physics Lab is well equipped with instruments of high precision and quality to meet the needs of all types of measurement needed in different branches of engineering. This laboratory play vital role in building strong foundation to understand their core engineering subjects more comfortably. Laboratory experiments have been set up keeping consistency with the theory so that the students can understand the applications of the laws and principles of physics. Physics lab is associated with Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

CHEMISTRY LABORATORY

Chemistry Lab is well equipped with precise instruments to meet the needs of all types of measurement needed in different branches of engineering. This laboratory play vital role in building strong foundation to understand their core engineering subjects. Chemistry lab is associated with Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

LANGUAGE LABORATORY

The Department of Science and Humanities bridges the gap between schooling and engineering programs for newly admitted students. It provides them opportunities to enhance their communication skills in the English Language Laboratory. This helps them relate theoretical knowledge with real-life applications, enhancing their Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW) abilities. Students can choose their own pace and learn at their own pace through presentations, group discussions, and role play. Power point presentations help students learn the latest teaching modules. Co-curricular activities like debates, quizzes, and seminars help students develop oratory skills and subject proficiency. The English Language Laboratory provides sequential solutions to improve LSRW skills and expand the scope of learning in personal, academic, and professional spheres.
