VISHWAKARMA YOJANA

Government Polytechnic Godhra is among handful of institutes which has got opportunity to participate in all phases of Vishwakarma Yojana Program (A Flagship program of Gujarat Technological University) since its inception in 2012 under the leadership of Head of Civil engineering department Sh. (Dr.) P. M. Shah, and Nodal officers Sh. D. J. Panchal (Civil) & Sh. A. K. Shah (Electrical).

In the Vishwakarma Yojana, Students of Civil and Electrical engineering department are allotted different villages of district Panchmahal by Gujarat Technological University. Students visit the allocated village, Interact with Sarpanch, Talati and Village people. They also visit Ideal village nearby. Students try to provide designs & estimates based on the data received from Sarpanch & Talati as a part of their submission of Detailed Project Report. These DPRs are also mailed to TDO and DDO of respective districts. Students also prepare Documentary film of their allocated village.

Till now more than 100 students have participated in various Phases of Vishwakarma Yojana and around 50 DPRs have been submitted by the students. Research Paper publication is also done by students. More than 17 Lacs stipend amount is received by the students from GTU.

Students have received many awards in various categories from Gujarat Technological University under this Program.
